So this is my first post on our new blog! We are getting settled in
here in NC and it's time... to buy a house! It definitely needs some
TLC, but we really feel like this is going to be our first house
together. It was built in 1966, has great bones, but it needs a coat of
paint... and updates to... everything!! We are 2 weeks away from our
potential closing date and we cannot wait. Here are some pictures of the
"before". I would like to say the "after" will blow your mind, but I
can't imagine all our dreams for the place will come to fruition that
well :) God has blessed us SO MUCH in the last few months. We have
made some wonderful friends, I absolutely love my job, Brent has started
his own job, we love our new church, and we cannot believe how "at
home" we feel here. We hope we will be able to have many years here
together! Stay tuned for house and life updates :)
Here's the deal.
ReplyDelete1. I just, right this second, realized that you have a blog. Now you have to eat your words for saying that I was going to get a blog when I got all crafty :)
2. I LOVE your new house! When can Anthony and I come visit?? Because Im for real...I want to come.
3. You know I am all about the crafts and stuff...I want to help!
4. Reading about your "blank slate" house makes me think of this blog that I recently became obsessed with... check out www.houseof hepworths.com. This girl blogs about how she moved into a house that needed a ton of work, and it works through how she makes these changes (99% DIY) over time to save money. She is all about saving money and repurposing stuff to make it new again. You should check it out. I hope you like it.
ALSO...I cant wait to see you and Mr Brent so soon! I love you!
Ah! Thanks for your comment! :) We really loved this house, but it needs a lot of TLC! I will absolutely check out that blog. I have gotten really addicted to younghouselove.com myself. They are seriously our inspiration. We decided to blog to keep track of all the work we're going to do so we can look back and be like, OMG we rock! PLEASE come visit!! We will have a guest bed in like 3 months.. we would love to have you! Maybe you can craft something for me while you're here :) CANNOT wait to see you soon! Love you!
